How Stress Can Be Good

When most people think of stress, they think of feeling anxious or upset.

However, there is actually a form of stress that is good for us. When in moderation stress can actually improve our cognitive function and help us process information. This is because moderate stress strengthens the connections between our neurons.

When we receive low amounts of stress, it can flip a switch in our brains telling us we need to act or do something. Similar to when you realize you are late for a meeting and your brain kicks into high gear. Your focus definitely increases.

Moderate amounts of stress can tell you when something feels off or you are in danger. This animal like instinct, that every person possess, allows us to sense and feel things we cannot see or hear.
